The 4th of July celebration at The Harvard Circle was
a huge success thanks the the efforts of the Walbridge
Park Advisory Board.  This was the 9th year for this
family friendly event.  A big thank you goes out to the

The Watermelon Eating Contest at the 4th of  July Celebration was a popular addition to the day.  Over 50 people ages 4-40+ signed up to participate!  We would like to congratulate the winner of the 2008 Watermelon Eating Contest:  Chaning Swartz (8 yrs & under), Conor Markowiak & Andy Horvath (9 yrs  11yrs) and Zachary Guenin (12 yrs - 99 yrs).  Thank you to all who participated!                                                                             There were tons of other activities going on during the 4th of July Celebration.  The Cake Walkin' Jazz Band played, Cookie the Clown made balloon animals, Sandra Spang showed off her awesome face painting skills and there were games of every sort to play.  What more could we pack into to 2 hours!  Oh yeah, there was also had a dog parade and a bike parade.  WOW!
